1995 Ford Bronco

Asked by broncolover1995 Sep 14, 2016 at 09:22 PM about the 1995 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Ford Bronco, Eddie Bauer edition. It's full size with a 1994 rebuilt transmission. I'm don't know a lot about vehicles so need something simple. The ABS light came on, then the speedometer stopped working, then shifting became hard at first and second gear, now the OD light is blinking. No check engine light. We changed the VSS and the neutral safety switch but no help. No blown fuses. OBD1 codes are 452,654,10,212,12.
Please help me. I don't want to sell her. She's in awesome condition for the year. Thanks in advance.

Codes came from OBD1 test. We also did the test with the blinking check engine light and got the same codes. We did check the ABS with the scanner and got no codes. Will show this to my boyfriend. Thanks

you need a new psom. programmable speedometer odometer module. been there with both my 1994 Eddie Bauer 5.8 Broncos. I'll bet you have the e4od transmission

I had a very similar issue on my 1996 Eddie Bauer Edition. Hard shifts. OD light. Lost all dashboard lights and domes. It turned out to be a worn and rusted ABS BOOT that powers many other systems. My ABS codes did show up when tested, but the '96 had OBDll. I knew the ABS was shot when I bought it, so I replaced entire ABS. PROBLE SOLVED.Check that wiring harness from the ABS.
