Oil pressure, 96 onneville

Asked by Tony Feb 08, 2021 at 12:06 PM about the 1996 Pontiac Bonneville 4 Dr SE Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently replace timing cover, had to remove the oil pressure sending unit.
When work was complete the oil pressure gage was at max. I replaced the
sending unit and now it reads 0 pressure. What is my next step?

Check voltage and ground at oil pressure switch/sensor. In the diagram, the top wire is voltage and bottom wire is ground.
