2002 Trans Am Wont Start

Not really a mechanic kind of person. Battery is dead
(always goes dead) When I try to jump it, it'll turn over and
stall (I think) instantly, unless I keep my foot on the gas.
Once I release the gas, STALL

new battery and new fuel filter would be good.

Forgot to include. Battery is new. Bought it mid July.
