bad smelling smoke coming from center console

When driving the my 02 firebird i can feel heat coming from the center console
and when at a stop i can see smoke coming from the center console

Or there is a control module located there I thks for the air bags might be that get it checked right away!

Does the smoke smell like burning oil or electrical?

It almost smells electrical, l do know it's not oil

I wouldn't drive the car till you find the source. If it is electrical it could catch fire destroying the car and possibly causing injury to you or someone else.
