Probably the radio -- check and make sure no one messed with the fade .. factory speakers are super lame usually. I'd think about putting in new stereo and speakers all around -- you'll love it

ya was hoping to keep it factory because of the info msging part. have tried everything with the radio and no luck. thank you

you could test the wires leading to the speakers to see if both are 4 ohms or open or shorted. next you could check the connector output to the speakers, perhaps you'll find a fuse on the speaker line, at least you'll have the knowledge that the speaker is blown, or if no voltage is on each speaker line, you'll know to have the amplifier serviced or replaced.

often there is a safety fuse on the output transistor, to protect the transistor, you may want to pop the top off this unit to see if either the breaker can be reset or a small glass fuse needs replacing....more importantly why did the front speakers give up? lightning crack? gremlins with their dia-bow-lickal sabo-tay-gee?

Find a G6 forum and run a "Item wanted" ad for a radio. There's probably a few that upgraded and will sell their stock head units. You might find one on eBay. Here's a couple of forums that looks active - http://www.g6ownersclub.com/forum/ -- http://www.gtoforum.com/forum- index.php

No there is nothing wrong with the radio or amp it is the speakers themselves pull the door panel off there is one bolt holding the speaker mount in place at the top of the mount pull back with a flat head screwdriver then lift the mount up if you run aftermarket speakers cut the end of the plug of strip the two wires and wire the new speaker Walla the front speakers work again. I've already had this problem and fixed it
