My 90 nissan 300zx won't start

Asked by knelas Jun 08, 2014 at 08:05 PM about the 1990 Nissan 300ZX 2 Dr GS Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 1990 nissan 300zx and I
replaced the battery. So now the security
signal blinks every time I want to start it.
The car cranks and even I was able to make
it start but it only lasted 30 seconds. What's
wrong help?

It is possible that the key is not coded to the car.It sounds as if the theft system is shutting the fuel system down.It is possible that the ECU is bad.I bought a 84 300zx in April that would only run for 30 seconds when it started. It turned out to be the ECU.Check the fuel pressure with a gauge that you can rent at AUTOZONE.
