Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2020 Lincoln continental, car alarm goes off
randomly in the middle of the night. I get
notification on my Lincoln way app that door
opened and has triggered the security system.
Dealership has replaced the driver side door latch
and battery cause it got drained one time. It was
happening almostevery night until they replaced
the door latch then it went 1 month with no issues.
But last night the same thing happened with same
message.

There are some high tech thieves out there nowadays that can use a laptop to transmit a signal that mimics your key fob and steal your vehicle! If you think that's what may be going on set up a concealed camera to get a look and see if someone is tampering with it. Also, and this may sound dumb, but if you sleep with your keys in your pocket you might be triggering the alarm by moving or rolling over in your sleep! I say this from personal experience. I used to sleep with my keys in my pocket and sometimes in the morning the trunk of my Grand Marquis would be open. I realized what was going on so I leave my keys on the nightstand when I go to bed! Hope that helps! Jim

The dealer gets three tries and then they strike out. File a Lemon Car claim!
