Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does a 1997 Ford Thunderbird V6 have a fuse that
could be blown because the alternator got fried?
Cuz it acts like it wants to fire that wants to turn
over but it don't want to kick in and start and it's
getting fuel so if you would please let me know if
you and it has fuses blown from the alternator
going bad?

You can look in the fuse/relay box for any burned out fuses. Auto parts stores sell little testers that make it easy to test a fuse without removing it. If you're not getting electrical power check the fusible links as well, or any inline fuses. Check also starter relay. Your alternator should have an internal voltage regulator as part of the assembly. If it had an external one check that is good as well. Usually a blown fusible link prevent power to the car, so if you have power, then that should still be good. You can confirm power to the starter with a voltage drop test. If you have power and still not turning over, then you have another problem.
