Ford C-Max owners manual states no tire chains. So what if I reach an area where tire chains are required ? Turn around ?

View the video on spider spikes, not chains but will have a similar result with increased traction. http://www.spikes-spiders.com/videos

Read the FAQ at for a good understanding of why you can't use regular chains. It is likely due to lack of clearance behind the tire. http://www.spikes-spiders.com/faq

Read the manual but type S cables may be acceptable.
