How do I add freon to a Nissan Frontier Crew Cab 2001?

Got No heat....went and bought Freon from local auto parts store and

i screwed the blue cap on the front of the engine but the connectors

won't go in?  Do i need a special connector? or is it another

connection i need to be looking at?   Also, my fan only turns on

high....low and medium do not work...any ideas?

Thank you,

For the fan setting, you need to replace the fan resistor (easy and fairly cheap job)

But my other question is, If you got no heat, why would it be the freon? Freon is for the a/c unit. If you have no heat in the car it could be a thermostat or heater core. I am not sure I read this part of you question right.

You were probably trying to add the refrigerant (it's not freon anymore) to the high-side service port.  It has to be added to the low-side port.  Please don't do this yourself, you will likely cause more damage.  If you overcharge the system you risk compressor failure and other problems.
