Car in limp mode

I have a 2005 nissan altima...i was having a
problem with it throwing itself into limp mode...i
was also having problems starting it...it would also
run hot but only when i got on the highway....it also
had a rough idle and recently threw itself into limp
mode i couldnt reset it so its currently its in limp
mode. I have replaced the MAF sensor but that did
not solve anything.....im a woman and i dont know
much about cars but i can google just about
anything and figure out how to do something. Can
someone please point me in the right direction to
repairing my car so i can drive it again.

“Fail Code” conditions or “Limp Mode” occurs when there is a problem with the logic of a vehicle’s computer. When the signal value sent by a sensor to the computer is not within a pre- programmed range specified by the manufacturer, it will switch to “secondary” programming. These procedures are designed to protect the transmission from further damage that could be caused by the signal error. Also hook up to a code reader maybe it could tell you the code to further investigate the issue.
You need to get the stored codes to determine where the problem is
Clear the code an you can drive it until it dos it again

They sell transmission coolers .... A small radiator for the transmission once you install your trans will not overheat and stall .... Nissans cvt transmissions are defective but they won't fix them

The oil overheats and it goes in shut down mode so you dont destroy your transmission ( thats why it shakes and make alot of noise going uphill and struggles, or going too fast for a long time 70mph , ... Nissan has the shittiest cvt transmission....

Bottom line don’t buy a Nissan with Jacko CVT transmission they have a very high failure rate Nissan knows this and they do not stand behind their product so why should we.
