Radiator leak (I think)

Asked by leanne Jul 07, 2019 at 01:20 PM about the 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Nissan Altima. It was running very
hot, I took to Autozone. Diagnostic said thermostat
and cam shaft sensor. However I filled it will
coolant and next day was empty. I bought another
coolant, turned on engine and saw from the
bottom it was all leaking out. So if I replace the
radiator, do I still need to replace thermostat and
can shaft sensor?? I’m on a tight budget. 50 yr old
single mom, planing to replace the radiator myself!
I just do t know if I have to replace the other parts
too? (Also when the car cools down, I’m going to
check under to see if it’s just leaking from a jose)

I have a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 S..its a money pit, I got the code to change my camshaft sensor. So I bought a new one and replaced it, a few days later the car died in morning traffic, I put the old one back in and it ran fine again for awhile. Now there is a rough idle and then some, the issues will slowly start to build up. As for replacing all 3 of those parts, should be an easy job.
