We have a 97 Ford Explorer XLT and the horn started honking whenever we opened the door and even when we started it. The fuse box did not have a fuse just for the horn so we removed the one for Security but it is still honking. Can you help?

If you don't care about having a horn, just pull a wire off of it It has two, a high and low note ..click to size up full screen

Thanks for the schematic on the location of the horn but my husband is having a hard time getting to it to cut the wire. Any suggestions on an easy way to do this

To get to the horns you have go in from underneath. Remove the plastic mud-shield, You will need to unscrew two bolts with an 8mm socket wrench. Then there they are. It;s much easier to jack it up, but please don't get under it with the tire-jack. You can raise it with the tire jack but use a jack-stand. Or two. It may seem expensive if you only ever use them once, but this is deadly. Or ramps are good
