Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1978 Lincoln mark V, I brought it about a
month ago and it had been sitting for quite
some time, i put some gas in her and she fired
right up and drove her home (300+ miles) I
Parker her and she just stopped running, I
have the 460 7.5L, she grumbles like she
wants to start, she spit and stutters for about
4 seconds and then dies. New carb, new
plugs, good spark, any ideas what happend?
