Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My transmission will not shift, act like it is in neutral.  I hear the solenoids buzz but nothing happens. What could be causing this?

This may sound dumb, but check your trans fluid BEFORE you start the car next time. If it's not near halfway cold start, you may have a problem with standing pressure which means you may have an internal leak in the transmission.
