Mitsbuishi Galant Starting Issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

To put it simply, after the car sits for over 6 hours, it won't start.

It cranks and cranks and cranks. I take the key out, try and turn it over again,
it cranks and cranks and cranks.

The third time I do it, it cranks 5 or 6 times, and kicks on. It runs rough for a
few seconds, low RPM, then high RPM, then it levels out and the engine
runs smooth.

I drive it down the road for a few miles, turn it off. Turn it back on, it kicks on
normally like it's supposed to.

New battery, New spark plugs and ignition coils, along with a valve cover
gasket and spark plug well gaskets because of the tiny bit of oil in the spark
plug well. Battery connections and major ground connections cleaned of
corrosion.

Sounds like a fuel issue to me but I'm lost as where to even start looking...

Sounds like a fuel concern and it may be that the fuel pump is not coming on at crank due to a failure of a crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor. Find out if the computer has a fault data then it may be helpful to take some starting fluid and spray it into the intake by the air filter and see if the vehicle starts. If it tries to start then you know it is a fuel issue. What do you have to do to start it when this does happen it should like you can get it running.
