No overdrive in 1987 Ramcharger with 318

When out on the freeway my Ramcharger seems to top out
at about 50 mph.  It sounds like the tranny gets into 3rd, but
won't go into overdrive.

Battery is fresh and solid, and fluid is nice and clear and red, but will definitely check the shift solenoid. Many thanks.
