2019 kia Optima fe won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sporadically when I got to turn on my 2019 kia
Optima fe i put the key in the ignition and
everything turns on and it sounds like the car is
about to turn on but it just doesn't. Then I take the
key out and try it again and this time it does turn
on but the vehicle sounds like its chugging like its
struggling to stay on then I turn it off and turn it
back on and this time it works fine. It happens
randomly sometimes in the morning sometimes
while running errands so I k ow it's not a cold start
situation. I've taken it to the dealership a few times
but they can never find anything wrong. Now
recently in the past couple of days it has been
stalling to switch from 2st gear to second gear and
when it finally switches there's a jerk. Does anyone
know what could be the cause of these issues?

Veronica did you ever find a solution to your problem?! Mine just started to do the same exact thing

Mine does it as well on my 2019 Kia Optima S. I work for a Kia dealership and they can’t figure it out. Sadly....

My 2019 Optima fe wouldn't start i found the timing chain was loose. Bought one from the dealership for $200.00

My 2019 Optima S, 9000 miles, has started to randomly jerks at low speeds, and has stalled at stoplights a couple times. Dealership says they have no idea why. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a 2010 Kia Optima 186000 miles just got the start problem fixed after 3 years of putting up with it. The starter test good but something in it was causing the no start issue. Starts whenever it felt like it. Order one off Amazon for 80 bucks and put it in. It worked for me. It’s a great car except all of the Brake calipers have locked up at one time or another if your car starts jerking check your calipers. You’ll probably need a new one.
