I'm trying to crank my car, but my car will not crank, on the dashboard the oil light and battery light is on. What does this mean? I'm not due for an oil change until 12/2015. Thanks

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car stopped, I tighten the positive terminal on my battery, my car crank with no problems. I drove home, and 30 minutes later, my car will not crank, and the oil and battery light is on. Can some one help me with this? I'm not due for an oil change until 12/2015. No problem was detected during the inspection. Single mom, trying to save money and time for the holidays.

Maybe the Starter. Try Tapping the Starter then Start it Again.

Check the battery? Should I check the power of the battery? If so, how do I do that? I checked the terminal, it was tight.

I mean the power of your Battery. Maybe it's not have power to crank the Car.
