how much will it cost to fix a 2002 mazda protege 5 blown transmission

transmissions vary in price. i would suggest picking one up from a junk yard for a couple hundred ( you'd have to call to see pricing) and pay a tranny shop probably around 400 to drop the current one and put in the other one. ball park 800-1000 MY GUESS!
