I have a1998 Lincoln Continental. I need help in defining a problem so it can be fixed. I believed its an air hose or something. I was told it was a 2.0 sensor. And even could be the cabin air filter

The cabin air filter has nothing to do with how the car runs. Have the car scanned for codes. It may be an 02 sensor, the scan will tell.
