The gas gauge reads empty. What should I look at for repair?

My gas gauge goes not work, please send results, 1st the most likely to the
least likely.

Your fuel sending unit is the first thing I would consider replacing. It is in the gas tank. IT could also be the wiring, or even the gauge itself.

Look for a bad ground. A gas gauge that always reads empty is a bad ground. A gas gauge that always reads full or beyond full is a bad power wire. If you have an aftermarket stereo look for the bad ground there first. Hope that helps! Jim
