Staple in rear tire, repairable or does it have to be replaced?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone

I recently found this staple in my rear driver side tire. I have an appointment on Wednesday morning since I can't get off work early and New Years day is tomorrow.

I wanted to know if this would be a patch-up job or if the whole tire would be replaced based on where the staple is in the tire.

Thank you,

I'd also like to add that I was notified on my dash (TPMS) that tire pressure is getting low. I checked and there is no visible / audible leakage as I have not pulled the staple out yet - but just pressing on the tire I can feel it is slowly losing air.

That is not repairable and I agree with LX30215.
