Sprinter Check Engine Light

Asked by GuruBF6T2 Jan 21, 2019 at 03:39 PM about the 2005 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 144 WB Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine light came on in Yuma AZ after filling diesel at a Von's gas
station. It runs fine and I have driven 500 miles with the light on. It won't go off,
despite putting new diesel in after using all but 2 gallons or so of the Von's
diesel. Any ideas on what might need to be done? Thanks!

I don't think you have DEF and your engine is the 2.7 in line 5 cylinder? You probably have an emissions failure... When was the last time you had your vehicle serviced? How many miles are on your 2005? Good luck.
