You could check the fluid level but you would probably have to disassemble the transmission to find the problem.

When the car cools down does it drive? If not you must find out if it truly a transmission failure. The obd 2 live view shows Engine speed from crank sensor reading and torque output and pressure. Best bet is see it drives in1st 2nd or Reverse and how does the trans acts? Does it clunk does it roar? Or does it not do anything?

If the fluid is low, bring it to a shop. The transmission does not consume fluid. If the fluid is at the right level, bring it to a shop. Other than adding fluid there is little an average person can do to diagnose the problem or repair it.
