Is it normal for the park light on the shifter to stay on after shutting off engine?

Yes after about ten minutes or less you will find that it does in fact go off, as mine does .

Does the letters on the shift lever turn on or meant to stay off ?

My tech says this normal, but it has me a little worried. Just don't seem right. I've taken it to two dealer and both say the same thing. If someone find out something different let us know.

Just noticed mine stays lit on my 2019 Rogue Sport, has me a bit worried. I just got the car from the dealer 2 weeks ago.

This is what I observed: When I am putting my car in park, I will gently push the lever toward the driver side and put the lever in park and turn the engine off. between 5 to 10 minutes, the light will go off. I hope this is a useful help.

huk222aol.com mine goes off in about 3 minutes, but still bugs me. Why does it even stay at all when I exit car.
