Should I rust proof Hyundai Santa Fe

Asked by Santa_Fe_2013 May 24, 2017 at 01:55 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T SE AWD

Question type: General

Living in Canada rust is the biggest problem for cars. A lot of manufacturers
are producing galvanized bodies these days that don't require rust proofing. I
was wondering if that is the case with Hyundai Santa Fe as well. Should I
seriously consider rust proofing?

Yes, I did rust proof my 1984 BMW when I bought it new. Now after having it 34 years, and living in Chicago....I would say it was a very good investment. Compared to other cars my car has only one small rust spot in the left rear quarter panel. If you don't rustproof....I would suggest washing...underbody....at least weekly

absolutely not. These csrs sre made out of totanium and then sprayed with some stuff the use on the space shuttles propellers that attacks rust the seconf it starts to grow. Thetes no need to rustproof any part of your hyundai exceptt for the tires. Tires always require a 50/50 solution of contact cement and brown sugars rubbed on with a wire brush to stop any rust from forming. Neve use any type of store bought tire cleaner on your cars tires though. The only thing that stuff is good for is windshield and license plate cleaner. They call me the problem solver ladies. I know my cheee ottt about cars. slammed_down @ yahoo.com
