2015 Chrysler 300 car running without the FOB

I live in Henderson NV. It gets really hot here and
can reach up to 150 inside. I will keep my car
running, with A/C running, and lock the door
keeping the FOB with me to run into a store, bank,
post office, etc... I do this often to avoid my car
heating up inside while gone a few minutes.
my question is if someone manages to get into the
car, will it go into gear to drive away?

Try it with a family member and give them the fob and you try to get in and put it into gear. Or you get in and have them go a good distance and see if it lets you drive...
