Call a transmission shop but expect to be shocked.

Thanks but I just need a range or ball park so I know what is reasonable. Are we talking $2K? $5K? I don't even know where to start.

I went to Hyundai dealership,I had a problem with the gear shift downshifting and they wanted to replace the transmission for $3300 wth parts n labor and then if that wouldn’t work , they would replace electrical control unit for $1380 labor not included.
