I don't know how you were trying to charge the battery to get it started. But if the battery were seriously drained as in having left the lights on for days to the point that the battery was totally drained, a simple charge or jump might not do it. In a case like that, you would need to have a professional come out to jump your car. They would use a stronger battery than you might have used. In addition to that, they will give your battery time to charge up before starting. You might not be able to simply jump the car and start it right away. Sometimes you have to allow several minutes while the professional revs his engine some to provide a stronger charge to your battery. Having said all of that, you first should make certain the cables are not corroded and that they are connected snuggly to the appropriate battery post. If after checking the cables and going through the charging method above the car still doesn't start, you will need to look elsewhere for the problem. Note, did the buzzers sound when the car was being charged? Did you see signs of any electronics working during the charging process? If you did, then the charging process is working correctly. Does the car engine turn over when you try to start it during the charge? That's all I can suggest to you. Good luck with your repair.
