Is there anyway to test to c if an ignition swich is bad?

It is hard to check igintion without pulling it,but that said,if you have a test light or volt meter you can test it at starter,place tester at starter hook to small wire not big red one,get someone to turn the igintion and if it shows fire on the small wire your ign. is good,if it does not show fire then ign. is bab.

And if it show,s fire on that small wire with igintion off it is bad also.
