My husband accidentally hooked up the battery backwards in my 2000 Escort ZX2 and
now everytime he hooks the battery up correctly it blows a fuse. Help please!

he needs to carefully examine all the wiring. somewhere there is probably a short where the covering on the wires has melted allowing 2 bare wires to touch.
