Why can't I get the key out of the ignition?

I can't get the key out of the ignition. The first time it happened I restarted it, shifted into drive then back to park, then turned it off and the key came out. Now it is happened again and the key will not come out, any ideas?

Sounds like your shift lock soleniod is faulty. Make sure the gear selector is all the way clicked into park.
