No Click, No Crank, No Start

Asked by Rougemechanic Jan 27, 2018 at 05:26 PM about the 2003 Honda Element EX AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Battery seems good, all lights work and dash
comes on. No flashing symbols. Gas guage goes
up. I can adjust shifter with foot on the brake to
make sure it's firmly in park. No click when I turn
key to start position. I have attempted jumping and
still no start and no click. So I attempted swapping
the starter relay for another that was nonessential
and another faulire. Not sure what to do, I've never
experienced these symptoms and I can't exactly
get it to a shop.

Unfortunately I don't have a multimeter but the battery connections are tight and free of corrosion.

As far as I was reading the headlights can help diagnose where the issue lies, mine don't dim or flicker when I try to start it.

Got a multimeter, battery sits at 12.5v. Grounds from the battery all sit there too.

Not sure how to get to the starter solenoid or how to test that once I find it...
