Passenger Side Window

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Honda Civic LX 4D Sedan.
My passenger side front window does not roll down when
every other window in the vehicle does. I am not quite sure
what the problem is. I do not hear any noise from it even
when attempting to roll down or up as which i did when
fixing my passenger back window. (That ended up being
the metal latch not being hooked) I was told just to replace
the motor and or regulator. Would this solve my problem?
And if so, what other vehicles or years are compatible with
the front passenger??
Thank you.

When diagnosing your passenger side window issues. The first thing to check is if the window can be programmed. If it has lost programming, there is normally a combination of inputs you can do with the window switch controls in a certain pattern to regain functionality. If it can not be programmed, then the next step would be to check the switch itself by unplugging the switch and plugging in a compatible one from one of your other doors. If that still gives no response, I would recommend replacing the motor and/or regulator. There is a site called car-part.com, which list the cheapest used parts in a range of compatibility based on your search. I would start there for more accuracy, but a general rule for compatibility is the same body style of that production, and with window regulators and motors, it should not matter which model honda Civic of the same year, as long as it has power windows.
