91 GMC Sonoma cranks but no park

Asked by juliemagoo78 Nov 04, 2015 at 05:05 PM about the 1991 GMC Sonoma 2 Dr SLE 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son overfilled the oil and drove on it.....he says as he was going up a hill it
started to loose power until it finally died at the top of the hill. After having to
get it towed back home we drained about 3 quarts of overfilled oil, there was
no foam in the oil. When we try to start it will crank as if it wants to start but will
not turn over. Please help with any thoughts or suggestions Thank you

1 Answer

Check to see if the spark plugs are fouled with oil and replace them if necessary.
