I'm havimg the same problem with my 94 Sonoma 2.2. Check to make sure that there is power to the fuel pump relay switch. I'm not sure if yours is under the dashboard of if it's like mine and under the hood (passenger side 3 boxes towards the back by the hood) it might just be a bad ground or wiring. I have a new pump but it won't turn on- I've connected a bypass wire from the pump to the fuse box inside the truck so that it starts when the truck turns on. It started right up. I can't figure out where the problem actually is yet. please update if you figure it out.
