62 impala new tank fuel pump isnt pumping gas into the carb

Okay so I have a 62 impala I replaced the gas tank because
my old one was worn out with holes and noe that i installed
it the wiring that connects to the tank like the ground plus
the fuel pump there is wiring that need to be connected
(correctly) my problem is which wires do I connect and how
to make sure the fuel pump is pumping gas to the
carburetor

My partsbook shows a mechanical fuel pump, not electric? The wires at gas tank are problem for the fuel gage? If you added an electric pump, my bad.

It worked before I just probably did something wrong like a wrong connection
