What is the safest way to sell a car and transfer funds when owner holds title?

Or go to a bank if you need a notary. This is also a safe location.

Banks can verify funds but be warned most checks take 2 weeks to clear, IF they ever do.

FOR; that's why if you accept a check from someone you don't know make sure it's a cashier's check from a financial institution you can trust.
