light alloy wheel rim

Asked by cakirovunc Jul 01, 2017 at 01:55 AM about the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 250 BlueTEC Sedan RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I want to purchase new 18inch rim-light allow wheel for my mercedes.
In catalog for 18inch and bigger rim sizes, it was mentioned as "option for rear axle" written.
This is so much confusing!
Will we get 4ea rim at the same size same with front axle?
Or is it optional, to get different size for rear axle?
Please advise.

They are referred to as staggered setup. When it comes to aftermarket wheels you have the option to put wider rims on the rear axle for a more aggressive and flush stance on European cars. I personally like the look, however, when the time comes to rotate tires, this is not possible because the rear wheels are different size with a different offset. The thing is they do have the option to buy the same size rims all around

If 4MATIC equipped, all tires must be the same size. RWD allows wider rear tires, but limits your rotation options. Do not exceed recommended tire sizes, causes too many issues. Stay with conservative German engineering, boring as it may be...
