Oil light flickering and rough idle

Hey there just redone my engine.
First start was good no problems oil light off just idle was a bit high. After a
couple of reves the oil light started to flicker heat gauge shows overheating but
the  water in the pipes was still cool .
Can somebody please help

Cooling system needs bleed properly. It is a common issue. There is a bleed screw on top of the thermostat housing and there are videos on YouTube for the process.
