Why is my check engine light on in a 2015 Hyundai Elantra sport?

All maintenance is performed on time, and I only use premium unleaded fuel.

Usually it's an oxygen sensor go to a local advance auto store and they will plug in the computer code reader and do a diagnostic test for free

If it is still under factory warranty take it to the dealership for service. Saying it is usually an oxygen sensor is very misleading. The light can be caused by any number of things.

You should not try excellerate too fast....that happened I put out a lot of smoke and engine light came when tried excellerated fast.....but it went off.
