2015 Dodge Dart Stalled while driving, battery light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently bought a 2015 Dodge Dart. I have had it 1 month and today, after
just starting it, I was only a mile away from leaving home and the engine
dies. I had no acceleration, and the battery light came on. I pulled over, took
out the key, put it back in and allowed it to try and start itself. After a minute,
it finally started back up and I drove it with no problems for the rest of the
trip. My daughter will soon be taking this vehicle to college 400 miles away! I
can't let this happen! Thoughts?

OK I had the same problem. I looked this up. Check your oil. I was 3 quarts short which cause the car to stall. with just 2 quarts and not enough oil to keep it running, and crappy detection, you need to check it manually. This is why people buy jap cars. My car was 3 short and no. I repeat no warning light or any kind of sensor detection.

I checked the oil and it was at least 3 quarts low, maybe even 4. Didnt know this car had this issue. I will keep checking it. Thank you
