2015 KIA Optima SXL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went to the store and turned my car off my fiance decided she was going to
stay in the car (the car was off for maybe 5 seconds) I then tried to turn it back
on and had no response, I tried a few more times and nothing. It then started
to freak out and the dashboard flickered with the little welcome screen and
wouldn't stop. I removed the battery terminals and left them off for about 30
seconds in hopes to reset the computer, didn't work. I then checked fuses,
tapped the starter, and tried some other things that people have suggested
online. Car will no keep a charge for more than 30 seconds and tries to turn
itself back on. I think it thinks its a transformer. I had it towed to KIA. Does
anyone know what is possibly going on here? Is it possible I security locked
the computer and it is making itself shut off when i try to start it? PLEASE
HELP!!

My guess is the battery is weak causing your starting issues. Before the tow, did the driver try to jump start it?
