2014 Toyota Corrolla not working

Asked by Jessi Mar 29, 2020 at 09:39 PM about the 2014 Toyota Corolla LE Eco Premium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Where are we able to complain about this issue? I have gone to two different
dealerships! They tried to charge me about $120 to just diagnostic. I
complain a lot that they finally did it for free and when I got the results they
told me I need a whole new stereo. I told them that this was a brand new car
and it should not be having this problem. The managers just kept saying
since I did not have warranty on my car any more they were not able to do
anything  but to order a stereo and replace it. This is definitely a scam from
this manufacture company. I have even made a complain when the survey
are sent out and no one is acknowledging the problem. I have bought cars
from Toyota before and never had a problem like this before. Really hoping
they do something to make it right for everyone.

A 6 year old car is not new. What do you expect? Free repairs?

This happen back in 2016. I am aware that if work needs to be done it will not be free. But that the fact that something like this happened to a car that was bought right out of the dealership and not second handed, their product should be problem free.

There has never been a problem free car made. Warranties expire, if you want more coverage you must buy it. If you want to rant about a 4 year old issue go ahead but no one can help you.

This is definitely a scam from this manufacture company. You bought a vehicle. The factory warranty expired. You had a problem after the warranty expired. The shop wanted to charge you a diagnostic fee which you think you should get for free. They diagnosed the problem as a broken radio. You think you should get a new radio for free, right? Why? Why do you think you're entitled to a free radio long after the warranty expired? That's what we don't understand. Are some kind of royalty? Are you famous? What makes you think companies should just give you things for free?
