Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the battery. Now anything that needs battery to hold its setting
resets to zero when I turn car off. Everything works fine when car is
running. But when I turn car off, locks wont work, fob wont work, dome light
won't come on when door opens or I approach car, trip meter resets to 0,
avg fuel use resets to 0, clock resets to 1,  time to maint resets to 3,000M,
0 days, dash lights default to 3/4 bright.  Fuse problem???

Thanks!! I wondered if that might be the case. Something to sustain the settings while power disconnected. The battery had completely died prior to replacement and it was the weekend so I wasn't able to take to dealership. Hope they don't charge huge amounts for reflashing.

Thanks. That's not too bad. The car is under warranty but I imagine it will not cover this.

My Kia Soul Exclaim 2013 I wasn't able to unlock it had to open with the key fob, I thought it was dead which I thought could be the case but it actually started. Then when I turned on the car it showed that my hatch was open which was not true, then my tire pressure monitor was on my dash all the way home from a concert. I can't turn on my overhead lights. The AC kept going to a defroster kind of way. I also can't lock it. Have to lock it with the key fob. Everything on the dashboard went down to 0. So I kept having to press the trip button to get me to my fuel range which was normal. This is my second time with this problem I don't know why it keeps happening. I have loaner but I am hoping my own car is fixed sometime soon. Right now they are just diagnosing the problem. What could be wrong with my car?
