2008 ford crown victoria transmission issue

Asked by Cleto253 Aug 16, 2016 at 10:27 PM about the 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So much crown vic sometimes feels like it shifts into
nutrual while driving almost as if it lags between gears and
then jumps into gear if I give it extra gas or it happens
some times when I'm turning a corner and I let off the gas
as soon as I give it gas it just revs as if it went into nutrual
and then if I let off it goes into gear then I can go forward

Have you checked the trans fluid level? If it's okay may be due for a flush and filter change. Sometimes a flush can clean/degunk a sticky shift solenoid(s).
