my 2003 ford t-bird window wouldn't auto up after door is closed

Asked by kellouk Dec 28, 2018 at 10:41 AM about the 2003 Ford Thunderbird Premium RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

window normal operation is to slightly depress and automatically goes back up
whenever door handle is pulled or lifted.  After battery change, the diver side
window continues to depress with each pull or lift of the door handle.  It never
auto-up.  The vehicle has been to 2 dealerships with no resolution

Dealers seem useless! use the relearn feature before servicing the module...lower the window continue to hold the button down for 8 seconds, raise the window after it has closed hold the button (up position) an additional 8 seconds. IF this fails learn or pay someone to check the window module and electrical circuit.

Same problem with my 2004 after troubleshooting battery drain. Thank you, I'll try this fix.

The 8 second reset fix for the window is no longer working. It only works for 1 or 2 door opening. Does anyone know where I can buy a door / window modular for this issue? My dealer says they don't exist anymore....

Worked for me. but would this cause a drain on my battery before the reprogramming of the module. thank you
