How can air get in the fuel rail?

Asked by GuruZZGPY Oct 13, 2017 at 01:25 PM about the 1986 Ford Ranger STD Standard Cab 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It runs fine for about 10 miles then starts cutting out. If you bleed the air out it
will go again for a little while. Seems like when you put gas in the tank the
trouble starts then. Tank has pressure in it.

Maybe your gas tank vent has and issue. Look at the EVAP system for problems. I wonder if the fuel pump is sucking air for some reason.
