1985 ford f150 my inline fuel pump

My inline fuel pump is overheating is the second
one I replaced when is nice and cool my truck runs
great but it overheats and it turns off  dont know
what to do i have check all the wires relays  fuses

Do you have it mounted in a location that gets plenty of direct airflow? Either way you could make a small aerofoil to direct air over it and see of that helps alleviate the overheating
